This is our second release from the small, three-acre block of Sauvignon Blanc nestled in a cool pocket of our rugged Sage Vineyard estate atop Mount Veeder. Moderate sun exposure and the cooling influence of the San Pablo Bay coax the grapes to ripeness, endowing this classic Bordeaux varietal with crisp purity and refined elegance.

Our 2011 Signature Sauvignon Blanc unfolds with perfumed aromas of guava and honeydew melon melding with citrus blossom and a hint of lychee nut. Vivid and keenly focused, the palate offers juicy melon flavors interwoven with dried orange peel, kiwi and tart d’Anjou pear. There’s a vintage-driven viscosity and roundness to the wine which balances its naturally crisp acidity and drives home a lingering impression of citrus-infused honeycomb.
